Tom and Jerry Playing in a Ball Pool Cake

Tom and Jerry Playing in a Ball Pool Cake

This cake was ordered by my toughest client, my son :), for his 5th Birthday celebration we had at Funtropolis amusement center. The main attraction there is a big room, full of housands of multi-coloured Styrofoam balls that fly around. Shooting guns are installed on the perimeter and a big cannion gun is installed in the middle.

Mark asked me for Tom and Jerry themed cake. So I thought it would be nice to "invite" the characters to play there as well.

I've chosen this big cannon to appear in Mark's cake, being held by Tom. Jerry is sitting on the rim of a ball pool and holding an umprella above his head to protect it from the falling balls :)

Nitya's First 1st Birthday Cake

Milk chocolate cake with truffle filling. 25 servings. Modeling chocolate figurines. All edible, except for the glass dome.

This was sort of a satellite cake, ordered for the same party (Kaysha's 1st Birthday), but for a 4 year old boy, who happens to love Mighty Morphin Power Rangers characters.

The challenge was to tie together the Power Rangers and Holiday season, which I finally interpreted into a snow globe.

White ruffles cake - 1st Birthday Cake for Kaysha

The cake was designed around Kaysha's beautiful dress. One of the images her mother sent me for inspiration happened to be a spectacular Blue Ruffles Cake, by Marina Sousa. The Idea of the ruffles looked brilliant to me, and I thought they will reflect the ruffles on Keysha's dress very nicely.

An easy video tutorial on how to make a Christmas tree out of fondant, gum paste or modeling chocolate. Enjoy!
